Kathryn “Kat” Lee Colgan is Of Counsel, specializing in labor and employment compliance counseling for corporate clients, as well as providing litigation services across various areas, including wrongful termination, age and gender discrimination, harassment, disability discrimination, retaliation, EEOC matters, corporate advice, and wage/hour claims.
With extensive experience in both state and federal courts, Kathryn has served as both first and second chair in numerous trials throughout Southern California, achieving defense verdicts for corporate clients. She also offers strategic guidance to clients navigating the evolving California employment landscape and represents employers in complex employment matters across the state.
Kathryn graduated from UCLA in 2005, cum laude, where she double majored in History and Political Science in addition to playing on the UCLA’s women’s soccer team. She graduated from California Western School of Law in 2009 where she clerked for the Multiple Conflicts office and Upper Deck among others. She was also a member of the mentor/mentee program and international law club. Kathryn is a member of the San Diego Bar Association, the ACC, Lawyers Club, and was selected as one of San Diego’s Best Attorneys in 2023 by SD Metro Magazine. She is licensed to practice law in all districts of California.
Outside the office, Kathryn enjoys traveling, reading, spending time with her family and friends, running, soccer, playing golf (poorly), beach volleyball, taking walks with her husband and dog Mr. Beans, and playing fantasy football.
