About Betsy

Betsy defends labor and employment litigation from small claims to class actions and counsels management and executives on related business compliance matters. Betsy takes an efficient approach toward simplifying and organizing complex disputes and compliance issues.

Betsy represents clients through trial and appeal in a wide variety of litigation before federal, state and administrative courts, including cases involving wage and hour claims, discrimination and retaliation claims, public accommodation and accessibility issues, business torts, fiduciary duties, restrictive covenants, and other contractual disputes.

Betsy has been selected as a Rising Star by Georgia Super Lawyer magazine in employment litigation defense from 2013 to the present. She has also been designated as Legal Elite in Labor and Employment by Georgia Trend magazine and has obtained a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating.

Before joining MHS, Betsy served as a law clerk to the Honorable E. Clayton Scofield III, Magistrate Judge for the Northern District of Georgia and worked in the labor law and employment litigation sections of Meyer Moser Lang LLP and Freeman Mathis & Gary LLP. Betsy received her bachelor’s degree in International Affairs and Modern Languages from Georgia Tech where she was a member of the Yellow Jacket cross country and track teams and Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She remains active with Georgia Tech through its Alumni Association. She previously served as a member of the Executive Board of Trustees and President of the Georgia Tech Bar Association and is currently serving as Chair of the Board of Trustees.
