Kelly manages the Firm’s Chicago office. Kelly focuses on portfolio management — helping clients handle their nationwide labor and employment matters in a more efficient manner. She understands retaining an attorney should be an investment in a relationship, and she spends considerable non-billable time learning about clients’ businesses and building the institutional knowledge and internal relationships that lead to better litigation results.
In addition to portfolio management, Kelly specializes in complex class and multi-plaintiff employment litigation. Throughout her fifteen-plus years of defending corporate clients, Kelly has first-chaired more than a dozen trials to successful verdicts.
Kelly also conducts workplace investigations and advises clients on litigation prevention, compliance, and remediation. She enjoys devising creative solutions to client-specific issues.
Kelly was born and raised in rural Western Michigan. She received her bachelor’s degree in English and Creative Writing, magna cum laude, from Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia. She then earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif.
