Alyssa is an attorney in the Firm’s Orange County practice group. She assists employers in all aspects of employment law and litigation. Prior to joining MHS, Alyssa practiced at a prominent municipal law firm in Irvine, California, where she served as Assistant City Attorney. Her practice included both litigation and transactional matters, advising clients on a broad range of legal issues involving risk management, public housing, municipal governance, contracts, and civil litigation.
Alyssa graduated magna cum laude from San Diego State University and received her B.A. in Criminal Justice and minor in Sociology. She earned her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law. During law school, Alyssa gained valuable legal experience through internships with the San Diego County Office of the Public Defender, where she worked in both adult and juvenile court proceedings, an employment law firm in Los Angeles, and the Children’s Advocacy Institute. At the Children’s Advocacy Institute, she contributed to legislative advocacy efforts focused on gun violence prevention. While in law school, Alyssa was actively involved in several student organizations, including the Women’s Law Caucus. In recognition of her commitment to advocacy and public service, she received the James A. D’Angelo Outstanding Child Advocate Award.
In her spare time, Alyssa enjoys spending time with family and friends, practicing yoga and pilates, reading fiction, and watching movies.
