Katie M. Greenbaum

Katie is an associate in the firm’s Labor and Employment practice group in our Southern California office. She represents clients in all aspects of labor and employment law, including counseling and litigation involving discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, employee discipline, employee classification issues and state and federal wage and hour claims. She has extensive experience in law and motion practice, written discovery, depositions, settlement negotiations, mediations, settlement conferences, and trial preparation. Katie’s experience in these areas has been as the primary handling attorney.
Prior to joining Martenson, Hasbrouck & Simon, LLP’s Southern California office, Katie represented individuals, businesses, non-profits, and public entities through all phases of civil litigation from inception through trial. She has experience defending general liability, trespass to property, professional malpractice, and catastrophic personal injury claims, including traumatic brain injuries and sexual assault torts. She is also well versed in the applicability of the Medicare Secondary Payer Act to liability settlements.
Katie earned her J.D. in 2016 from University of San Diego School of Law with a focus in employment law matters. While in law school, Katie was a member of the San Diego Law Review and received a CALI Excellence Award in Legal Research and Writing. She received her B.A. in Political Science and International Relations from the University of California, San Diego in 2012. Katie is admitted to the State Bar of California and U.S. District Court for the Central and Southern Districts of California.
Outside the office, Katie enjoys watching sporting events and spending time with her husband and daughter. She is a passionate tennis fan and former captain of the UC San Diego Women’s tennis team.
