Hee Won “Lena” Choi

Lena’s practice focuses on employment litigation and immigration.
Prior to joining MHS, Lena acquired extensive knowledge in employment matters in both the immigration and the litigation realms. Specifically, Lena worked on numerous business/employment-based immigration petitions and employment-related claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Equal Pay Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Pregnancy Discrimination Act, Title VII, Sections 1981 and 1983, as well as under Georgia state laws from inception through resolution. Lena has also participated and handled numerous settlement negotiations and mediations before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, district court magistrate judges and private mediators.
Lena received her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies with a minor in Chinese Studies from Emory University and received her J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law. While in law school, Lena served as President of the Asian American Law Student Association, a member of the GSU College of Law intramural volleyball team, and was a Graduate Research Assistant for the Philip C. Cook Taxpayer Clinic and for Professor Anne Tucker. Lena was a recipient of the J.B. Moore Award.
Lena grew up in Seoul, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. In her free time, Lena enjoys spending time exploring new restaurants.
