David represents employers in all aspects of employment law, including representing employers before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the National Labor Relations Board, state administrative agencies, and state and federal courts. He has particular experience with wage and hour claims, including claims arising under state and local prevailing wage laws. David has successfully defended employers in both class and collective actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and state and local wage laws. David has significant experience with government contracting and compliance with state and local prevailing and living wage statutes.
David also has significant experience representing employers in labor matters, including union avoidance campaigns, union elections, unfair labor charges, and collective bargaining. David has served as lead negotiator on numerous collective bargaining agreements across multiple industries, including construction, manufacturing, and the service industry.
In addition to his litigation and labor experience, David regularly counsel employers on the full range of day-to-day employment issues, including the drafting of complex employment policies, employment agreements, and restrictive covenants.
David is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio and attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He then received his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. Before joining MHS, he practiced law in New York and Atlanta with King & Spalding.
